![]() ![]() Like, it only supports Windows and not other operating systems, and newer versions of the application aren’t free. But with the software in question, there are a few drawbacks. This is the kind of functionality many computer gamers long for. That basically means, you’ll be able to map out keys and even operate the mouse through a peripheral as well as play most games with a controller, that lack support for one. As you are probably aware, the main purpose of this application is to make gaming controllers including the ones provided with consoles, compatible with PCs. And if anyone has any suggestions for alternate utilities like this, Im all ears. We’re about to list out several Xpadder alternatives that have positioned themselves as viable substitutes to the software in question. Any other gotchas or exceptional likes you can share would also be helpful. Very specifically, can you create a desktop profile, and launch a game that has native support for the gamepad and have the profile shut off automatically while you're playing, resuming once the game is exited? And the requirement here that matters is that you shouldn't HAVE to create a profile for the game first. XPadder is the next logical selection, but I think Im better off asking here if anyone is actually using it, and can provide a brief summary as to how well it works on the WIN. Granted I only spend 7 paltry dollars, so its not THAT big of a deal, but I'd rather not keep wasting cash on garbage. ![]() (might be decent on pc, but it suuuucks here). Installed succesfully and launched, only to find the UI abysmal, and not gpd friendly, profile switching was finicky at best, and it was just simply not a very good product for the handheld. ![]() After several quick troubleshooting steps I looked into what the hell padstarr actually was, and found that it was the pinnacle successor. 20 minutes later I downloaded it and tried to get it set up, only to find that it insta crashes on boot. I did no homework (regrettably) and bought it. 6$ last night on sale with a padstarr license too. In search of a tool that would provide this holiest of configs, I bought pinnacle, as lots of people said it was winsauce. It will only do mouse/keyboard to gamepad mapping, but not gamepad to gamepad mapping. Already owned CC, and I love it, though its one major flaw is that you can't remap gamepad controls. ![]()
